SECURITY COUNCIL

The main goal of the United Nations Security Council is to maintain global peace and security. This committee will analyze and deliberate current issues that are threatening or could threaten International Peace and security and will aim to provide longstanding solutions to said pressing issues. The Security Council Is unique from all other committees in the UN as it has the power to make decisions that all UN member states are then obligated to implement under the charter.

On the last day delegates will be hit by an unforeseen crisis situation. Under immense pressure, even more so than before, delegates will have to demonstrate excellent diplomacy, critical thinking, and team work all while balancing country policy and global peace. Delegates will have to combat and negotiate with opposing blocks to reach a general consensus and, finally, a solution to the issue.

With all eyes on this committee, delegates will be subjected to a security council experience that will truly put their diplomatic abilities to the test.
